Harvest Worker

Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, Full-time / Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $18.34 - $19.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Job Duties:
• Perform tasks such as hand harvesting, packaging, weighing, and storing bean sprouts.
• Plant and process seeds (transfer, sanitize, sow), monitor temperatures, water, and tend to bean sprout plants.
• Loading/ unloading produce and supplies for transport and organizing products inside cooler rooms.
• Sanitizing all equipment and working areas; and always maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Spray or apply nutrients to bean sprouts plants and monitor hydroponic water temperature.
• Report any signs of insect or disease damage in bean sprouts.
• Assist in logic controls to the start seed germination.
• Other general farm duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Education: No formal education required.
Experience: No formal experience required; successful candidates will be trained in job duties.
Language: No formal language requirement.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work long hours with repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in various environments: cold, damp, dust.
• Ability to handle heavy workloads, which can be physically demanding.
• Ability to distinguish between colors, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
• Ability to bend, couch, stand and kneel for long extended periods.
