About the Position
Tim Hortons in Espanola is currently looking for a reliable and motivated Food Service Supervisor to join our team.
The Food Service Supervisor plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant. This position helps ensure that team members are properly organized and supported, customers receive timely and friendly service, and food preparation and service consistently meet established quality, sanitation, and safety standards.
The successful candidate will supervise food service staff during assigned shifts, assist with coordinating daily activities, support employee training, help maintain appropriate inventory levels, and address operational or customer-service issues as they arise.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, can remain organized in a busy restaurant environment, and is comfortable taking responsibility for supervising and supporting a team.
Responsibilities
The Food Service Supervisor will:
Establish methods to meet daily work schedules and operational requirements.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees who prepare, portion, and serve food and beverages.
Provide direction and support to food service counter attendants and food preparers.
Train employees in their job duties, food handling practices, sanitation requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
Ensure that food preparation, presentation, and customer service meet established quality-control standards.
Monitor workflow during busy periods and help ensure customers are served efficiently.
Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requisition food, kitchen, and other required supplies.
Monitor stock levels and assist with maintaining appropriate inventory.
Maintain records relating to stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
Prepare and submit required operational reports.
Supervise and check the assembly and preparation of customer orders and trays.
Establish and coordinate employee work schedules.
Support the restaurant team in maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
Supervision
The successful candidate will supervise food service counter attendants, food preparers, and other restaurant team members. Depending on the shift and operational requirements, the supervisor may oversee teams ranging from approximately 1 to 10 employees.
Qualifications
Language: English
Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate; or
Equivalent experience.
Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Previous experience in a restaurant, quick-service restaurant, food service, or similar customer-service environment is an asset.

Work Environment
This is an on-site position at the Tim Hortons restaurant located at 701 Centre Street in Espanola, Ontario.
The restaurant operates in a fast-paced environment, and the successful candidate must be comfortable working under pressure and performing a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
Candidates must be available for a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, mornings, daytime shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime when required.
