Lipsett Cartage Ltd. is looking for experienced Class 1A Truck Drivers to join our team based out of Western Canada.
We operate flatbed and B-train equipment throughout Western Canada and are looking for professional drivers who take pride in safety, reliability, equipment care and customer service.

Position Details

• Position: Class 1A Truck Driver
• Location: AB, SK, MB
• Employment: Permanent, full-time
• Hours: 40–70 hours per week
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Compensation Options

Hourly position:

• $30.00 per hour
• 40–70 hours per week
• Overtime available

Percentage compensation position:

• 22% of applicable freight charges
• 50% of applicable tarp charges
• Compensation based on freight hauled and applicable company compensation policies
• Compensation structure will be discussed with qualified applicants based on the position offered, experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including flatbed and B-train equipment.
• Transport freight safely throughout Western Canada.
• Perform complete pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections.
• Properly load, secure, tarp and transport freight.
• Handle chains, straps, tarps and other cargo-securement equipment.
• Complete bills of lading, trip reports, inspection reports and other required documentation.
• Maintain accurate hours-of-service and electronic log records.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents and cargo damage.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch and company personnel.
• Operate safely in all weather and road conditions.
• Follow company safety policies and applicable transportation regulations.
• Maintain a clean and professional truck and work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1A driver’s licence.
• Minimum 2 years of professional truck-driving experience.
• Experience operating tractor-trailer equipment.
• Flatbed experience preferred.
• B-train experience preferred.
• Experience with manual-transmission trucks.
• Experience with cargo securement and tarping.
• Satisfactory driver’s abstract.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to travel overnight and remain away from home for extended periods.
• Ability to perform physically demanding flatbed duties.
